Retinal Photography
Digital retinal photography is available to all patients, and particularly recommended at a first visit to the practice so that baseline images are obtained.
Retinal photography is particularly useful for documenting the retina, optic nerve, retinal blood vessels and macula and having baseline images significantly aids our ability to detect new disease in the future.
For those over 40 years of age, or with risk factors for eye disease, regular retinal photography may be recommended however the need for this will always be clarified by the optometrist.
