Ocean Eyes Optometrists is owned and operated by husband and wife optometrists and Ocean Grove residents, Anthony and Letitia Dowling.
The practice was established in 2003 as a Visioncrest franchise and in 2008, founding partner, Majella O’Connor, took the exciting opportunity to become independent, and Ocean Eyes Optometrists was born. Anthony and Letitia purchased Ocean Eyes in 2019 and proceeded to put their personal stamp on the practice as the go to location for all eye health and quality eyewear needs. With the philosophy of professional service and excellence in eyecare you can be sure that when visiting Ocean Eyes everything possible will be done to ensure you see well now and in the future because “Your eye health matters”!.

Ocean Eyes Optometrists has advanced equipment for assessing visual function, detecting ocular disease and determining when there is a need for glasses. Combined with the excellent clinical skills of the optometry team a thorough examination is ensured and the likelihood of early diagnosis of any eye problems is maximised.
Ocean Eyes’ Optometrists are therapeutically trained to manage eye disease and if disease is detected are in an excellent position to advise the best course of management including referral to ophthalmologists where appropriate.
When it comes to vision correction, attractive eyewear and a comprehensive eye examination are both important in determining success. Frames should look good, fit well, and suit the function of the lenses. As optometrists, we are in the best position to make this happen.
